"As a firm and willed supporter of Desi Donors, I would like to make this humble plea to a United Asian Community to come forth and register with Desi Donors and help give someone the gift of Life. Lets come together as Ethnic minority groups and increase the 25% or 1 in 125,000 chances of finding a potential donor for thousands of children and adults with critical Bone Marrow diseases. Desi Donors has commendably set out on this mission to grow awareness about Bone Marrow diseases and the impact these have on patients of all ages and races within our community. Lets all come together in synergy and contribute to our community by giving a little. "As we give, we get" so why not make a difference in somebody's life today."
"As someone who has supported Anthony Nolan Trust in the Past, I am so happy that Desi Donors has been set up to help raise the important awareness of joining the Bone Marrow donor. There are thousands of Asians dying unnecessarily because there aren't enough young people joining the register.
Asian people need to realise the importance of this and the fact that they could be saving a life. We never know when we may need this type of help to save a loved one, so why not reach out now and joing the Bone Marrow Register and help save a life. Asians are the greatest when it comes to uniting in bad times, so what are you waiting for? Let's unite and make a difference."
"It's important for me to be involved in a charity such as Desi Donors as I am mixed race myself and that puts me in a ethnic minority. Thousands of bone marrow donors are needed and I feel by being part of such a worthy charity I can help in some way. Ethnic minorities need to realise the importance of this and help make a change"
